Ohana Health and Aesthetics is dedicated to providing you with the highest quality, cost effective medical care. We accept all major credit cards and cash. We ask all DPC members to use ACH for monthly payment. We do not bill insurances of any kind. Direct Primary Care is not meant to replace insurance. We do highly encourage our patients to carry medical insurance as Direct Primary Care itself is not insurance. If you have a significant health issue or injury and require a higher level of care than we can provide within our setting, insurance is greatly beneficial.
A cash based clinic that does not bill insurance allows us as providers to evaluate and treat you without the influence and demands of insurance. If you need labs, diagnostics, referrals to specialty providers, or other higher level of care, we are still able to write prescriptions for those things (even if those services aren't provided in our office). If you do have insurance of any kind, you will want to present your insurance card when receiving these services outside of our office.
Services provided through Direct Primary Care typically cover 90% of what most people will need medically. It is recommended, however, that patients pair our primary and urgent care services with a high-deductible “catastrophic” medical insurance policy or with a health care sharing ministry product. This coverage complements our outpatient direct care services, helping cover high expense items such as hospitalization, surgery, imaging and emergency room visits.
